Vantage Learning is committed to protecting the privacy and security of licensees entitled to use Vantage SPMS®. This privacy policy provides an overview of the measures we have taken consistent with COPPA and other relevant federal and state laws governing the use of and privacy required in connection with the collection, use, and storage of personal data.
Information Collection and Use
Vantage Learning (www.vantagespms.com) is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We do not and will not sell, disclose, disseminate, release, give, copy, share, or otherwise reveal data collected in Vantage SPMS® to any third party for any reason other that what is specifically provided herein.
Personal Information
Personal information is defined in the Breach of Personal Information Notification Act, enacted June 20, 2006 as an "individual's first name or first initial and last name in combination with and linked to any one of more of the following: (1) a social security number, (2) a driver's license number or a state identification card number issued in lieu of a driver's liecnese number, or (3) a financial account number, credit card number or debt card number, in combination with any required security code, access code or password that would permit access to an individual's financial account." Although name and credit information are requested at the time of purchase, this information is collected by a third party financial company independent of and outside of the Vantage SPMS® system. Further, no personal information is stored, transferred, carried over, contained within or otherwise used any in way within the Vantage SPMS® system. Only first name, last name and email address are required to access the system, and even then first and last name can be modified at any time for any reason.
Registration Process
To access Vantage SPMS®, a user must purchase a license either online or, in some limited instances through a purchase order. A username and password is generated and distributed to the individual or the purchaser of a group purchase. The username and password is randomly generated and does not contain personal information or a personal identification number, a social security number, a credit card number, a debit account, or even a telephone number, or birth date. Limited information is collected and stored in the Vantage SPMS® system, which includes first name, last name and email address only. In the ordering system, purchasers are required to enter first name, last name, home address, email address, telephone and credit card information. This information is not passed, stored, retained, or used in any way within Vantage SPMS®. Each licensee can, at his or her sole discretion, modify the first and last name and email address associated with their account at any time and for any reason.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer, tied to information about the user. Cookies are not in any way linked to any personally identifiable information while operating within the Vantage SPMS® system. Vantage Learning use randomly created session ID cookies, a completely unidentifiable set of numbers and letters having no specific or personal direct connection to the personal identity of the end-user. When the end-user logs off Vantage SPMS® and exits the browser, the session ID cookie terminates.
Log Files
In accordance with standard protocols, Vantage SPMS® servers have log files that contain information such as the internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit page, platform type, date/time stamp, and a click count. Log files do not contain any personal end-user data such as social security number, birth date, name, age, address, or telephone number. Vantage Learning uses information contained in the log files to administer the site, identify maintenance issues, analyze trends, track aggregate user movement, and gather broad generic (non-specific) demographic information for broad data analysis and use.
Sharing
Vantage Learning does not share aggregated generic demographic information with any third party nor does it share any demographic information with business partners, associates, and/or advertisers. In some cases, an education institution or university or corporation may purchase a basic administrator account. The basic administrator account gives access to account information and assessment results to the administrator of the Vantage SPMS® system. This enables the professional to fulfill the function of supporting and guiding students or employees or other users of the system.
Vantage Learning uses a third-party company for processing credit card transitions. They do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Vantage SPMS® may contain links to other web sites. Vantage Learning is not responsible for the privacy practices of any web site other than Vantage SPMS®. It is incumbent upon the licensee to read and review the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.
Security
Vantage Learning takes precautions to protect licensee specific data and information collected on this website. All account information is restricted to the end user, a basic administrator in some circumstances and limited SPMS employees who need to access the information to perform a specific customer service, help desk, or technical personnel job. All SPMS employees are informed on our security and privacy practices. Moreover, the servers on which we store account information are kept in a secure environment, behind locked databases.
Site and Service Updates
From time to time Vantage Learning may update the site or otherwise perform necessary maintenance on the site. SPMS shall take reasonable efforts to inform Vantage SPMS® users of the maintenance update schedule.
Notification of Changes
Vantage Learning may at any time make modifications, changes, revisions, maintenance updates, enhancements and alterations to technology or this Privacy Statement, without prior notice. Licensees are responsible for regularly reviewing this Agreement. Your continued use of Services following any modifications, changes, revisions, maintenance updates, enhancements, and alterations shall constitute your acceptance of each modification, change, alteration and the like.
Notification of Breach
In the unlikely event of a breach of personal information, consistent with the Breach of Personal Information Notification Act, which became effective on June 20, 2006, Vantage Learning shall provide notice through:
1. Written notification to the last known address or
2. Telephone notification or
3. Email notification or
4. Substitute notification as described in the Act.
